Simon joined White Bear Managers as Aviation Underwriter in 2020. Simon started his insurance career at Transglobe Aviation Underwriting Management in Guernsey in 1988. The following year he moved onto the Claims Team dealing with General Aviation and Airline claims. In 1998 he transferred to the General Aviation Broking side (Pentagon Insurance Brokers) which was part of the Heritage Group in Guernsey. He left Pentagon in 2007 and joined Catlin as a General Aviation Underwriter becoming Class Underwriter. Simon joined Thomas Miller Specialty in July 2017 where he worked for 3 years.

Bruce joined White Bear Managers in 2020 to establish the Aviation book, along with Nic and Simon. Bruce’s insurance career commenced in 1986 when he joined Polygon Insurance Company. In 2001 he moved to Ortac Underwriting Agency, a newly-formed specialist MGA writing General Aviation business on behalf of two large European insurers. In 2005, Bruce moved to Catlin Syndicate 2003 as Senior Underwriter and successfully developed their presence as a major market lead for the General Aviation sector. in 2016, following the sale of Catlin to XL, he joi

Nic joined White Bear Managers in 2020 to establish the Aviation book. Nic started his career at Leslie & Godwin in 1985 as a reinsurance claims broker. Having gained several years’ experience with claims he moved on to B F Caudle Syndicate 780 where he fulfilled the role of Underwriting Assistant. This led to an underwriting role with the European airline captive Polygon and subsequently Ortac Underwriting Agency, underwriting Airlines, Aircraft product manufacture and General Aviation. In 2005 Nic moved to Catlin Syndicate 2003 to lead the worldwide development of the General Aviation portfolio.
